Sicilians

I believe that every community, regardless  be it a nation, citizens on an island, a city or a village, a fan group has its own characteristics that are not only physical, but also cultural, gender and social. In this series of photos my interest is the people of Sicily and their cultural mentality. The Sicilians are cheerful, loud, snappy people who want to spend the day out of home, in the streets, fish markets, churches. In Sicily, men greet themselves with hugs and kisses which is not the case for many countries in Europe. This series is just the first phase of the ongoing project named Sicilians.
