The age when pools had a future

The age when pools had a future is a photographic field research on decaying pools which had been build as a result of social planning  in the Socialist Republic of Macedonia as a part of Yugoslavia in 70s and 80s. Within this plan every city in the country was supposed to provide environment for recreational activities for their citizens. The pools were one of the options for that kind of activities. Almost all cities opened public pools for citizens from all social classes. Recreational activities were encouraged with a very popular slogan - In a Healthy Body - Healthy Spirit.  After the  disintegration of Yugoslavia the pools found themselves in a transitional process from public to private ownership. The process took a long time and most of the pools are completely ruined now.
